Conveniently located eatery for Northern Indian cuisine on a shoestring..
In Short
Just around the corner from the hubbub of North Beach, the Financial District and Chinatown, this place is packed on weekdays for the all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Bollywood ditties ring out from the bar television and the kitchen churns out the basics--tikka masala, vegetable samosas, saag paneer and prawn tandoori. Many dishes are cooked in a clay tandoori oven.

mediocre offering .....
this so-called indian restaurant is a scam. food is mostly lackluster. the few times i went there (in my infinite naivete), the samosas were slimy and stale, and when I asked the owner about it, i got a mumbled reply, and surprise, surprise...it also showed up on the check. entrees are also pretty lame. avoid at all cost. the indian-pakistani food dives in the city are much much better (and cheaper)
