What a great SF find!
by Kate van Houten at Citysearch
As a long time resident of SF who has been gone lo these many years now (20+), when my husband and I came to the City to visit family for Christmas and stayed in a killer pad on Green St. just up from Fugazi Hall, we walked and took cable cars everywhere we could. And of course, when passing by Pat's Cafe at the Fisherman's Wharf end of the Powell/Mason cable car line, we just had to stop in for brekkie.
The food is plentiful and delicious, the service superlative, the price was excellent, and we loved our conversations with Pat. Went several times during our too brief stay, bought some art, drank a lot of the very fine coffee. Sad to leave Pat, North Beach and my beloved SF. We'll be back!
- Pros: Location, Menu, Price, Owner
- Cons: There's a con? Oh, yeah, Pat's not in Denver!
Not just for the tourists

This place has been reliable and consistent for the four years I have been going there. I have never had a bad or overpriced meal and much of the fare is quite creative. Not to mention that I have always been greeted by Pat herself. This is a true San Francisco gem.
Excellent service and great food!

A large group of friends and I had brunch at Pat's Cafe this weekend. We had a wonderful experience! The entire staff including the owner were very friendly and accommodating! The food was very tasty! I had the California omelet. The ingredients were very fresh and it was not greasy at all. Best of all...there is not a huge wait to get into this place! This cafe is way better than the reviews it gets on Citysearch and Yelp. The food is solid and the staff is great! Give it a try...
