If you're into fresh seafood and sensational views . . .. My work frequently brings me to San Francisco from LA. Every trip, I make time to meet friends at Tarantino's. They have the best chowder I've ever had (I crave it when I'm away!), fresh crab, the most perfect plate of calamari, and my all-time favorite cioppino. The service is quick and the views are phenomenal. You cannot go wrong on the wharf as long as you're at Tarantino's.

Super Sopa!. Sopa di Pesce, or fish soup is always my meal of choice when dining here. I am a big eater (dare I say-glutton?) but this still is quite satisfying. It is a very hearty marinara based stock with tenter morsels of salmon, shrimp, clams and what not, served with a nest of angel hair pasta. The view is splendid. The crab cakes with mango salsa were very tasty. The blackened rock fish was also quite tasty, but the Sopa is still our favorite. The service was fine, and the prices are reasonable (not much more than a national chain such as Outback or Olive Garden). BUT THE FISH IS FRESH!

We give this resturaunt our highest recommendations!

Quick & Tasty. We ate outdoors, enjoying the Crab Sandwich on Sourdough; very reasonable and a nice outdoor/Fisherman's Wharf atmosphere.
