In Short – Menus are available in several different languages at this longtime Fisherman's Wharf fixture. Tourists from all over the world eat here while taking in the bay views. The menu centers on American seafood dishes. Grilled salmon and mixed seafood risotto are served with cream sauce. Dungeness crab is available during the late-winter crab season.

For being a wharf restaurant I was pleasantly surprised. For one, it's huge so getting in is easy last minute if you're in teh area. The menu is pretty good and our waiter was great. There were 3 of us, we all had different entree's, 2 fish and 1 pasta dish we were all happy with our meals. I don't think this is one of the best restaurants in SF and probably wont' return, BUT if you're down by the wharf surrounded by the zillion tourist traps this is definitely a good place to get above that, enjoy a wonderful view, nice atmosphere and tasty food.

  • Pros: group dining, service, atmosphere
  • Cons: by the wharf

Fresh seafood, great view, too loud for fine dining

by lilosf

Had dinner at A. Sabella's for Valentine's Day. We started off with ceasar salad, which was ok, and the mixed chilled shelffish for appetizer. Felt they were stingy with. For $16, it included 1 prawn, 1 scallop, 2 manila clams, 4 tiny mussels. My bf had the filet mignon with mesquite grilled 1 lb lobster ($49). The combination of the 2 was exquisite. I had the seafood risotto ($29), which was also great. It was filled with more seafood than the risotto itself. You can really taste the freshness in their seafood. Then, we shared the trio sorbet for desert ($8.75). A glass of wine will run you about $20/glass, great wine selection by the way. The view is great only if it's a clear day/night. For a fancy dinner restaurant, felt it was too noisy, and not too intimate.. maybe because it was Valentine's. Their service was great, and efficient. We were in and out in 1hr 15min. This restaurant, I would try if you are in the area. It's not something you go out of your way for.

  • Pros: Fresh seafood, Great view
  • Cons: Ambience too loud

GREAT PLACE AND SERVICE

by wildnra

The food is great, so fresh, I had the mix grill which was outstanding and my friend had the sea bass, which she said was the best she has ever tasted. After reading a few of the reviews on City Search, we asked for Christopher to be our food server and we were so happy we did. The service was some of the best I've ever experienced, We highly recommended you ask to have him be your server!
