This time was the last. It obviously is under new owners/management. The waitress was inept, wrong orders, took forever...etc. Then (I'm assuming) the gray haired guy behind the bar is the owner. VERY rude when we asked for our bill after waiting a good 20 mins. He told us.."You have a waitress right? She'll get to you"...Nice. Too bad because the food is really good.
A Local Irish Breakfast Your Inner Anti-Tourist Can Handle. For the 15 years I've been in SF, nothing says Irish Breakfast quite like Fiddler's Green in the morning. Hey, that rhymes! Old school pub fare (like Sheppard's Pie)on a limited menu, with plenty of Irish whiskey on the walls for you to choose from. Whether you make this your off-Bay Street breakfast comfort food paradise (because all breakfast tastes better with Irish booze and snark), or just your destination for St. Patrick's Day--you'll be happy with the results (and very full).
SOOOO Friendly. Love the low key atmosphere, especially in a high tourist area. Get there every March and enjoy the whole weekend, including breakfasts (I'll have the special breakfast-hold the food). Sharon, Paddy and Diane are so friendly you can't wait to return (and that's why I do).
Nice spot to take the Chill off.
Cozy and quick service, just be prepared to stand.
Would recommend but look out for the bums that walk in on cold
winter nights.
All around fun spot!. This is a great Irish bar that actually has delicious food as well! It's a fun place to drink and dance, but also to have a yummie breakfast or lunch. It's just a comfortable place to be. I was here recently for a private party and the room upstairs was the perfect spot! Everytime I come here I have a great time!
Slainte!. This is a fantastic gem in Fishermans Wharf. I am a repeat offender and have never been disappointed. Easy-going atmosphere, great drinks, and lovely ladies behind the bar. The dance floor is fun and entertaining (good music), the bouncers are great, and there is no shortage or Irish imports. If you are looking for both a bar and a place to shake it on the dance floor, Fiddler's is it.
Avoid the social scene. This place is full of working girls this is the first bar I have ever been too that has working girls and it ruined the evening
A two-tiered Irish bar in North Beach serving food and DJ-spun tunes..
In Short
Guinness posters and black-and-white photographs of Ireland's countryside are displayed proudly in the downstairs dining room, where green wooden tables are situated near a central bar. During the day, mostly tourist and local couples come to eat a traditional Irish meal. In the evenings, the upstairs room fills with a mix of Europeans and casual professionals who let loose to pop tunes spun by resident DJs.
The Best Irish Coffees. We have been going every year in Januaryfor 4yrs. We cant wait till we get there and we spend countless hours during our weekend drinking Irish coffees chasing them with Guiness. The best breakfast too by the way. The girls at the bar are so cool. Low maintenance kinda place, We love it!
great irish pub. like stepping into a little piece of Ireland. Went in for a Guiness and stayed for hours. Hardly any tourists and almost everyone there was from Ireland.
