This sleek DJ lounge adds a stylish twist to the grittier North Beach surroundings.. In Short
Despite its upscale decor, Royale feels like many of its surrounding neighborhood bars on weeknights. A smattering of locals swap jokes with a lone bartender over stiff drinks. Weekends pick up with young hipsters drawn in by the sounds of funk, house and dub reggae spun by a DJ. A wall guards the turntables to fend off the tiny, impromptu dance floor that comes to life during late-night hours.

Pleasantly Blue. Royale is a great place to hang out with friends. Their drinks are reasonably priced (beer for only $4), decor is appealing, music is smokin, crowd is diversed. It's packed, but not sardines packed. There is still plenty of room to breathe and dance during peak hour on weekend. Arrive before 11 to avoid cover charge and score seats.

Swanky Beats In North Beach. Aggressive Happy Hour, Solid DJ's and as always, a sweet decor. Royale tees it up all nights of the week and I like it!

Local place. This bar is great thats all I can say! nice crowd nice staff! I like to go here after dinner. I will always go back to this bar, you can meet people here as well as just have a nice night with your friends.

Great bar!. I was just there a couple weeks ago and this place was a lot of fun! Great music - the DJ played all

hip hop and classic flashback type stuff. The bartenders are hella cool and make NICE drinks. This is one of the few good places to go on a Wednesday.

Funky Good Times. I went to this remote little bar in North Beach one Thursday night. It was a relief to go to a bar that wasn't so crowded that you have to wait 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. It's a small bar, but that makes it all the more fun , especially when you can pack the place with group of your friends. The djs played some great 70s funk and the bartender is a hottie. Definitely reccomend this place whether it's just you and a friend going out for a drink or a bunch of your friends wanting to "get on down." You can literally make this bar your party with a medium sized group of friends, it's great!!!!
