Tastes like day old dim sum. Found this place using some new-fangled technology. The previous reviewers had given in 4/5 stars so we thought why not. What a mistake. The Dumplings looked fine when served. Once we went to sit down, they tasted really stale. My girlfriend felt sick later. We had some noodles that were ok...not great. The ambiance is non-existent.

Excellent dim sum for newbies. Quaint, takeout-oriented place with dim sum that is competitive with San Francisco's best -- and this is a city known for its high quality dim sum. Gracious proprietress gives this place an edge with her enthusiasm and willingness to explain and select items for non-Chinese customers; a courtesy rarely seen in dim sum places, which frequently pride themselves on brusque rudeness. This place does not have the encyclopedic range of items of the mega-dim sum houses like Ton Kiang or Yank Sing, but offers a limited list of the timeless favorites. Items were fresh and tasty and we enjoyed them as a picnic while exploring Chinatown and North Beach. The place also has a few tables where you can eat on the spot if you prefer.

Good, cheap, friendly.. Just what I was looking for; a cheap, quick Dim Sum take-out counter that has high-quality food! What tops the visit is the nice lady behind the counter who does not mind speaking english and taking you through a tour of the steamers. Just right for Dim Sum newcomers. A few tables are available, but this place is really for food-on-the-go. Good luck with parking...
