Impressive little restaurant. I was in San Fransisco on vacation a few weeks ago and came across this place. I wasn't sure if I wanted seafood or Italian; fortunately Viva has both. I was very impressed with the warm atmosphere. The Fall colors on the walls and celing were rather unique. There was such a nice variety on the menu I had a hard time deciding, and the waitress was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place!
WOOW!.
I can t just by saying WOOW! This little restaurant is an AWSOME place to eat, First of all we had a big group of 24 people so finding a restaurant to accomidate us was some what difficult, Now the Food was great I had the RUSTICA pasta wich had an awsome flavor and was a nice size portion not to big or to small. Our waitress was the best she always had everythimg we needed and very prompt, Now the price i think was great I paid about $20 for pasta plate and a lemonade witch I think it was pretty damn great.
I recommend this place to everybody, common they were even nice enough to let us watch the Lakers game there while we enjoyed our meal!
This place is 5 STARS!
North Beach Favorite. My wife and I keep coming back here, the service is great and the food is delicius. The menu has something for everyone, and the winelist holds so great picks as well. On the corner of broadway and columbus is a brilliant location in the center of the busy North Beach, but inside is a cozy and homely atmophere.
Consistently good food. I've been to Viva several times with my boyfriend and we've never been disappointed. The food is satisfying, the selection is good (even for vegetarians), and the roasted garlic they serve with the bread is amazing! It's always difficult to find places in North Beach that aren't mediocre tourist traps. Although Viva is on the main tourist drag, they have somehow managed to maintain the quality that a lot of the other restaurants in the same area have not. I would recommend this place !
Delicious Food, Excellent Prices. Viva has excellent food, and is reasonably priced. Entrees are $6 - $12 and are large portions. Their salads; Mediteranean and the Viva are large enough to serve 2 - 3, and are drizzled with olive oil that they bottle themselves. They are open for lunch and they have a lunch menu, where the prices are UP to $7. Their spicy chicken appetizer is outstanding. We also enjoyed the linguine carbonara, and their pasta broccoli. They have quite a few vegetarian dishes also. I think this is a nice fun place, great for get togethers with old friends, or to have a nice dinner with a date. They also deliver. OUTSTANDING!
great italian. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. My sicilian friend and his family have been coming here for years. It has a huge menu. Not only is their pasta good, but so is their veal. The ambiance is nice too. It's an imtimate and romantic place, so bring a date or a couple of good friends! The best part is that they roast garlic all day long to serve with bread and olive oil at dinner (complimentary!), so I would suggest going for dinner.
