As purveyors of exotic, esoteric musical instruments, this music store embodies the eclectic character of San Francisco. Located in the historic Cannery building, the store stocks antique, hand-made instruments with lots of character. You'll find the basics (flutes, tablas and steel drums), but the fun really begins when you pick up an instrument like a teponaztli, an indigenous Meso-American slit drum, beautifully carved from a single block of wood.
