What People Are Saying About A B Fits

In Short – The owners have imported clothing from Europe and Asia to form a unique mix of shirts, slacks, coats and other wear for both genders. Everything blends together as if it were made on the premises, such as the trendy French jeans, or the eye-popping socks and handkerchiefs from Japan. The owners have in fact designed some nifty T-shirts and men's button shirts (the Cuban, the Andrew, the Perfect, the Jerry, the Workshirt) made from imported Japanese fabric.
fantastic product knowledge
by matthewclothier
knowledgable staff made sure I found a great pair of nudies. Up until this yeat the only jeans I had ever loved were my JOE'S jeans but I get compliments on my Nudies everywhere.
thanks for the help!
- Pros: Great selection of hard to find denim
- Cons: location - what happened to the union square one?
The Place for the Perfect Pair

This was one of my best retail experiences ever. My goal was to take some time -- for the first time ever -- and try on jeans at a store where the sales people know their stuff. If this is your goal, then AB Fits is the place. A special shout out to Melissa - who was both experienced and patient - and who found me 2 perfect pairs. Lots of cute t-shirts too. This is the way shopping should be!
My experience was in total contrast to some of the other (very negative) Citysearch reviews. I'd encourage you to go into AB Fits and see for yourself what buying a perfect pair of jeans is like.
- Pros: knowledgeable and patient sales personnel
- Cons: None that I could discern
snob and a half owned, jean selection galore
by pandibabi
i love that hemming is free, but i hate the fact that the owner and some of the employees are complete snobs. there is not much of a greeting (if at all) when they buzz you in and they make snarky little comments to customers. no retailer (meaning any and all, high and low) should be rude and condescending towards customers. i mean, after all you want people to buy from you. being rude and snobby is always completely unacceptable in my book. i am torn between going back or not because i love the jeans+free hemming and fawning over/saving up for some of their chic clothing. i do not like to support such dull snobs, but what they are selling is great (oh yes, and not cheap in quality (or so i think) and price.) if you hold customer service higher than the product, then don't shop here. oh! but think of the free hemming! damn you ab fits!
- Pros: the clothes/jeans, free hemming
- Cons: service, prices (i know, to be expected)
