A San Francisco tradition. Always full of bohemian types, reading and gossiping and smoking out front. Definitely a darker roast here--order like a local and get the Africano espresso drink.
Rodent. I travel the USA and I stop at coffee shops as much as possible and I feel that the cappicicinos are the among the best tasting in the country, Pastries are great in the AM and the ambiance is just right.
Espresso for Me!. I always love going to Caffe Trieste. It is one of my favorite Italian cafes. My visit this evening was no exception. Excellent thick, black espresso grande was my treat after a long day of taking out of town friends through Fisherman's Wharf and riding the cable cars. Opera played in the background as we sat huddled at the table sipping our delicious Italian coffees. A great way to wind up a day!
EARTHY Cafe. The place was pretty small. The line-ups were long. And the tables were wacked! but it was a humble down-to-earth kind of atmosphere as a comparison to some others in North Beach. Its a quaint place. That's all!
Best cappucino east of Italy. sruffiest place on earth with a lot of character, and most amazing juke box machine that played only Italian opera music. Sandwich with focaccia bread was superb and cappucino is simply amazing, we tried to reproduce its taste... well forget it!
Brazilian Boys do good!!. Caffe Trieste is a cafe that I didn't know about until just a few months ago. I recommend this place to anyone. You can sit inside and relax with a cup of coffee and a good conversation with someone, or you can sit outside where chairs and tables are provided and enjoy the street life. They're mochas and depth charges are great....and not to mention, the people that work there are great, friendly men!! go visit if you haven't already!!
Mmmmm...Cafe au lait. This is a great place to relax with a tasty caffeinated beverage.
They know their coffee!. This is the real stuff -- made by pros. Starbuck's is OK, but if you'e got an extra minute to hike up to North Beach -- you gotta do it. I go for the espresso or even a big cup of the house blend. Sometimes it's hard to find a seat, since many coffee-house types like to make this a second home, apparently.
Perfect Coffee. Perfect Italian espresso and cappucinos--plus opera on the sound system! The best place to write your novel (or just look like it....) Skip the food, though--it sucks.
