Great Tasting and Plenty of Vegetarian Options.
In addition to delicious salads, and mouth watering entrees, the ?Golden Bags? and other starters are not to be overlooked. The tom kha gai (coconut soup) is the best I have ever tasted.
I am a Vegetarian and have tried other Thai restaurants in SF and most of them have left me unimpressed.
Regent Thai has great food, attentive service, and reasonable prices, and is out right cheap for the lunch specials.
Veggie options exist, but average. I don't have anything against this place, but just because they have veggie options doesn't mean they are good. The best thing is the Tom Yum soup, which is hard to find in veggie form. We tried 5 - 7 different veggie items but we probably won't be go back again. The search continues...
Upper Noe Valley Thai eatery serves good eats in a warm atmosphere..
In Short
With crisp white tablecloths, hardwood floors and delicate fresh-flower-filled vases atop each table, this Church Street café exudes plenty of charm. Tasty pad Thai, beef satay, and a number of curries fill the menu, along with an assortment of tofu and vegetarian entrees sure to tickle the palettes of non-meat-eaters. A stop on the J MUNI line sits right outside, making this an easy spot to get to.
Great food for great price!. I usually order take out from them and am always amazed how cheap it is. They are very quick to make the food (usually about 10 min) and their dishes are a good size and very yummy. The staff is always very sweet.
Mmm MM!. How tasty are the golden bags? Does the green curry get any better? Could my waitress be an friendlier. Answers in order? SO tasty! Hell NO! Yes, Please! The food is great, but damned if those waitresses arent a wee bit standoffish. Granted it could be that perhaps there is a bit of a language barrier - but come on... dont a smile look the same in Thailand? So GIT there and enjoy the tasty thai fare, but dont expect service with a smile. Attentive, yes, but not so friendly.
Wonderful Thai food for a good price.. I love Regent Thai. The people are nice and the food is really good. I suggest you try the Tofu Chu Ran (sp?) on the specials menu. I order it as an appetizer, its wonderful and Ive gotten a lot of my friends addicted to it too. The atmosphere is nice, but its sometimes cold in thereI think you will be happy with any dish you order and the price is very reasonable.
Thai me up. Great food and great value. The seafood dishes are very well prepared (Golden Salmon is a favorite). Service is also extremely friendly. A much nicer space than their original site on Monterey, but unfortunately further from my home.
Great Thai food at even better prices!. Regent Thai has fabulous food and is very inexpensive. They have a wonderful selection of vegetarian dishes and many non-vegetarian dishes can be made so on request. The service is friendly and very efficient. Regent Thai has a wonderful appetizer that is served on spinach leaves with about seven different toppings--everything from coconut to baby shrimp. It is absolutely delicious!
good food, friendly service. I loved the food that I got from here. It was very tasty especially the stuffed chicken wings. They were the best Angel Wings I have ever had. The service was reasonable.
Yum. I love this place. I think the food is really quality and an excellent value. It is my favorite Noe Thai by far!
