What People Are Saying About Regent Thai Restaurant

In Short – With crisp white tablecloths, hardwood floors and delicate fresh-flower-filled vases atop each table, this Church Street café exudes plenty of charm. Tasty pad Thai, beef satay, and a number of curries fill the menu, along with an assortment of tofu and vegetarian entrees sure to tickle the palettes of non-meat-eaters. A stop on the J MUNI line sits right outside, making this an easy spot to get to.

Great Tasting and Plenty of Vegetarian Options
by Roberto Delgado at Citysearch
In addition to delicious salads, and mouth watering entrees, the ?Golden Bags? and other starters are not to be overlooked. The tom kha gai (coconut soup) is the best I have ever tasted.
I am a Vegetarian and have tried other Thai restaurants in SF and most of them have left me unimpressed.
Regent Thai has great food, attentive service, and reasonable prices, and is out right cheap for the lunch specials.
- Pros: great food, attentive service, and reasonable prices
Veggie options exist, but average

I don't have anything against this place, but just because they have veggie options doesn't mean they are good. The best thing is the Tom Yum soup, which is hard to find in veggie form. We tried 5 - 7 different veggie items but we probably won't be go back again. The search continues...
- Pros: location, decent service
- Cons: good veggie
Great food for great price!

I usually order take out from them and am always amazed how cheap it is. They are very quick to make the food (usually about 10 min) and their dishes are a good size and very yummy. The staff is always very sweet.
- Pros: good price, great taste, good size dishes
- Cons: they don't deliver!
Mmm MM!

How tasty are the golden bags? Does the green curry get any better? Could my waitress be an friendlier. Answers in order? SO tasty! Hell NO! Yes, Please! The food is great, but damned if those waitresses arent a wee bit standoffish. Granted it could be that perhaps there is a bit of a language barrier - but come on... dont a smile look the same in Thailand? So GIT there and enjoy the tasty thai fare, but dont expect service with a smile. Attentive, yes, but not so friendly.
- Pros: GOLDEN BAGS!, YUMMMY FOOD!
- Cons: Service with a frown.
Wonderful Thai food for a good price.

I love Regent Thai. The people are nice and the food is really good. I suggest you try the Tofu Chu Ran (sp?) on the specials menu. I order it as an appetizer, its wonderful and Ive gotten a lot of my friends addicted to it too. The atmosphere is nice, but its sometimes cold in thereI think you will be happy with any dish you order and the price is very reasonable.
- Pros: Great food, Good price, Nice folks
- Cons: It's chilly, The heat doesn't work, ?
