This West Portal neighborhood bar, where everyone knows your name (or at least will after a few drinks), is a popular spot for happy hour and weekend drinks.. A favorite spot for locals, this lively spot is the place to hit up after work, or even before. One long counter extends the length of the bar, and the second floor consists of a lone pool table that looks over the downstairs. Pictures of beloved San Francisco hang on the wall next to an over-sized bronze horse head. The juke box plays a random mix of tunes while Irish bartenders mix up well drinks and pour beers on tap--a solid selection that includes Pilsner, Blue Moon, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Bass and Sierra Nevada. And you've got to love a bar that keeps the TVs in the corners of the bar rolling even when there isn't a game on--and when there is, drinks are only $3.
