Customer service was not that good altogether..
A friend of mine invited me at Paradise Pizza & Pasta. He actually saw them from the street and decided to give them a try based on the number of people in the restaurant.
The pizza taste was ok but nothing special. Customer service was not that good altogether.
Best Pizza, wine and all around service. I absolutely Love Love Love this place! The owners are friendly (Sal) he makes his own wine and its amazing! The pizza is so good! The crust is a for sure take home.. You would not want to leave it behind. They make their own sausage and the asiago cheese is spectacular to throw on top! I love the naked lobster ravioli, the mushroom bruschetta and calamari are to die for! My husband and I eat here at least twice a month and we have never had a bad meal and always receive spectacular service. This is by far the best, freshest food you can eat tucked away at West Portal. You would have to really not appreciate good food to not love this place!
What is all the hype?. So I heard this pizza is so great. Today we ordered and pick up. I thought average. The pizza was well done almost too cook. My son wanted sausage and they were very spicy. Coming from the East Coast I know my pizza and this is not it. Not sure why this place has all the hype.... Plus to pick up we had a half hour wait not worth it. Would not go back.....
It's good, but.... This place isn't the best, but not the worst either. They use quality ingredients, but you pay for them. The decor isn't hip, but not offensive. The staff is prompt, but not scarce. The food is good, but you won't feel stuffed. I'd definetly go back, but only if there was a wait at my first choice. Average, but reliable...
Best pizza, pasta, marsala and atmosphere. The best there is. Good food, good service and great atmosphere. If you're looking for somewhere to make your "local" you found it at paradise.
One of the best. If you're looking for great pizza, this is one of the best that I've found. The location is easy to find and there's plenty of parking, too. Usually, there isn't too long of a wait.
pizza's ok but costly. Forgoing a home cooked meal, we decided to try their pizza, take-out. We ordered a lge sausage & pepperoni and a medium Italian Paradise - pancetta & cheese. It was expensive - $39 total. They do use quality ingredients, the sausage & pancetta were tasty. The outer crust was crispy, as if cheese was blended into the flour. They offer a pizza card, buy 10 pizzas, get one free. It's not the best pizza I've ever tasted, but not pizza that I'd rush back to try soon. It was a 30 min wait for the pizza.
Crispy crust and inventive toppings draw local pizza lovers of all ages to this West Portal pizzeria..
The Scene
Families with kids rub elbows with couples on dates at this comfortable corner pizza joint. The amicable atmposphere and convenient location makes up for the no-frills decor of white stucco walls and carpeted floor. The small room fills up quickly at this family-run spot, but service doesn't miss a beat.
The Food
The self-described "best crust in the city' (possibly the world!)," lives up to its billing--light and chewy-crispy, but substantial enough to hold mounds of toppings. Diners can warm up with an order of addictive Gorgonzola garlic rolls--warm, chewy sticks of bread slit down the middle and oozing tangy melted cheese. The main course comes with toppings like pine nuts, clams and artichoke hearts. Specialty pizzas include the Greek Paradise--feta, spinach, tomato, onions and olives--or the Ultimate Paradise, scattered with mushrooms, salami, pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, bell pepper and red onions.
I don't STRAY!!!.
The best pizza around town. The crust is the best I've ever had. You've gotta try the Ultimate Paradise or the Italian Paradise, both are winners. If your not in the mood for lots of toppings, the cheese pizza is really good also.
It's a little out of the way, but worth it. I don't go anywhere else for pizza in the city.
Paradise lost?. Great food and service for a number of years. But things have slipped a little since the New Year, 2003, particularly the service. Economy seems to be taking its toll on Paradise. Hope this is only temporary.
