First impressions are everything. I called Luxor Cab around 10:45 pm this (Mon) evening to reserve a cab to take me from my Uncle's in downtown SF to the airport tomorrow (Tues) morning. Being my first time in SF, I had never used this cab service. After waiting almost 10 minutes to reach a dispatcher she demanded of me (Without so much as a quick hello) the address. After I gave I it to her she immediately snapped "A cab will be sent" as if it were the end of the conversation. I quickly interjected that I didn't need a cab now and wanted to reserve one for the morning. She then rudely snapped at me "Well then you need to say that first."--uh, how was I supposed to know when she never gave me a chance to say so?? And considering I've never reserved a cab from them before. She then asked what time I needed the cab and after telling her she quipped "ok" and immediately hung up. The customer service is atrocious and left me contemplating whether I wanted to call back and cancel and hire another cab service. Luckily for them, I'm exhausted after a long day and will at least give the cab driver a chance...Hopefully they look over their reviews and attempt to fix such problems and give better training skills. It would do them a great service if they just hired individuals who weren't so socially inept...They almost lost my business and I'm sure they've lost innumerable amounts of it due to shaddy dispatchers. Like I said before...first impressions are everything in the human services! This is my first time writing...I made an account specifically to make a complaint because of how taken aback I was by this woman. I was completely polite with her and she was nothing but discourteous and rude, which is totally unacceptable behavior to a potential customer.

I'm writing this review because I tried to call about this and promptly was ignored by the dispatch operator... This morning, during busy commute time on SF 101 between SFO and the city, my husband and I were PASSED by Luxor cab#841, going at least 75-80mph. Not such a big deal, except that we noticed too disturbing things: 1. The cab was operating with one of the tires replaced by the 1/2-size spare tire, and 2. there was a fare in the back seat. All it takes is one accident due to negligence of this sort and somebody is going to get really hurt. (note: we were only able to determine the cab was Luxor and #841 when we caught up to it at the lights going off the freeway by the ball park. it flew by us in a blur!)
