AVOID at any COST

THIS PLACE is TERRIBLE. I WAS A LOYAL FAN IN THE BEGINNING, AFTER I RETURNED FROM A TRIP MY DOGS EYES WERE CLOSED SHUT WITH SLEEP AND MUCUS. I WAS SOOO DISGUSTED, BUT I GAVE PET CAMP ANOTHER TRY. MICHELLE, PROMISED AND PROMISED THIS WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING. THEY PROMISED TO WIPED THE SLEEP OUT MY COCKERS EYES. AGAIN, I PICKED HIM UP AND HIS EYES WERE FILLED WITH MUCUS AND CRUSTED SLEEP. THE LADY AT THE FORNNT DESK HAD TO GO GET A HOT TOWEL TO HELP ME PRY THE CRUST FROM HIS EYES. JOHN, THE MANAGER, TRIED TO TELL ME THAT MY DOSG EYES WERE CLEANED AN HOUR AGO.THEY DON'T TAKE OF YOUR PET IN A WAY, WHICH WARRANTS $45.00 A DAY. YOU GET YOUR DOG BACK SMEELY, COVERED IN URINE, HUNGRY AND THEIR EYES CLOSED SHUT. BASICALLY, YOU ARE PAYING YOUR PET TO BE LOCKED IN A CAGE FOR DAYS WITH MINIMAL CARE. THIS IS COMMON SENSE. PEOPLES PET'S ARE LIKE CHILDREN. ONE WOULD NEVER RETURN A CHILD THAT THEY ARE WATCHING TO THE PARENTS WITH CRUSTED SLEEP IN THEIR EYES, FULL DIAPER AND SNOTTY NOSED. I HOPE.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: PET neglect, over priced and terrible service
Awesome kennel!!!

Our little girl Uma loves going to Pet Camp! It's the only kennel she's ever liked. On the way there, when we turn down the street, she starts to get excited! Once we get inside, they recognize her by name on site (even though she only stays a couple times a year) and she doesn't even say goodbye to us, but just trots off happily, wagging her tail.
Uma's a 7 year old pittbull (very sweet), but has been a little dog aggressive (alpha, that she is) in the past. The folks at Pet Camp persuaded us to let her join the older dog play group. She did so well that they put her in a group with her peers. Now she plays all the time, and she's successfully gotten over her bad play habits and plays nicely with other dogs. (Thanks, Pet Camp!)
When she comes home, she's pooped, but really, really happy. An extra added bonus is that Pet Camp is a green business. They've got a huge solar panel array on top of their facility, and I've even heard that they recycle the dog poo for an alternative fuel source!
They get my vote!!!

- Pros: Excellent staff! Great facility
Definitely not for cats!

We left our cat there for 2 weeks over the holidays. I have to say the whole operation looked well-run and efficient though definitely more attention is paid to the dogs. The cat's room is this tiny little hallway. They have to stare at a blank wall only 3 ft in front of the cages and poor things must be traumatized by all the dog noises going on just outside where they groom the dogs! I can't comment on the playroom since they never let me see it when I visited. I don't think the level of service is really what you would expect given the price. They say all the animals get personalized attention but my cat's fur was the dullest it's ever been after a stay in a boarding place, evidence that she received no petting whatsoever. I wouldn't pay for this kind of treatment again.
- Pros: not many
- Cons: hard to get there, overpriced, not attention to cats
