Yesterday, I went to get a one hour massage at Solar Planet San Francisco, 3151 Fillmore Street (at Greenwich), 415-922-7200 with Craig and was completely impressed.

The massage studio is very professional with soothing music and lighting. The draping was used to focus on each section of the deep tissue massage. I wanted to focus on my lower back which Craig addressed. He also located a kink in my left shoulder and gave that area special attention.

One of my past time is going to this place, and make no mistake: eventhough it is marketed as a tanning place, they give very decent massages for good prices. Deep tissue, swedish, foot, etc. Love it!

Great tan and massage sanctuary

I have been in S.F. for over 10 years now and I must say that the Solar Planet is the little Sun sanctuary that gets me out of the funk during those grey foggy Bay Area days. I also enjoy to tan a few sessions before I go vacation in a sunny place and that's all it takes to get my pale skin looking human again?a few sessions in one of those high performance beds. During my last recent experience, I was having a particularly challenging week and by Friday I felt the need for a boost. After my tan and on my way out, the friendly gals up front: Kim and Helena noticed that I was in dire need of some TLC and encouraged me to get a massage. Not a few minutes went by and I was in the cozy massage room enjoying the energizing hands of one of their newest massage therapist additions, Shirley. An hour later I was a new man. I highly recommend this place as it's always a great experience.

For the Best and most relaxing massage and tanning experience RUSH to Solar Planet!

I have been a client of Solar Planet's for almost 3 years. I have NEVER had a better massage therapist than Craig at Solar Planet! He is extremely caring,strong, does a consultation with you before he begins the massage(to focus on the areas that need special attention) and inquires as to what kind of massage(he is an expert at many different techniques!) you would like, and inquires to the pressure(whether the pressure is too hard or too soft) If you want to come away feeling relaxed(and slightly comatose!.....in a good way!) then schedule a one hour or even one and a half hour massage(go on! treat yourself!) you will thank me for the referral! and be eternally grateful to Craig for his service! As far as the tanning goes, Solar planet (as it is mentioned in other customers revues) offers some of the finest tanning bed equipment!(from Germany) which unlike their American counterparts, do not transmit the harmful UV rays as some I have experienced at other places. Solar planet also has a spray on tanning machine, that is a nice alternative to the tanning beds. My partner also sees Craig for his massage as well(he does not make use of the tanning....yet!) and each visit to Solar planet is a delight! To summarize: Best tanning beds in S.F. Best Massage therapist(Craig) in the Bay area, and nice envoirnement and friendly helpful staff!

Out of this world

I have traveled as a business consultant all over the US for 20 eyars, I have tanned and had massages, and Solar Planet has got to be right up there in Heaven. It is like going to a private club. The service and the knowledge of the staff, and their presentation are superb. The equipment, I heard are $30,000+ each, are out of a movie and the results are fabulous. I am so pleased I drive 30 minutes to tan and massage.
