Good location and great value.. I have stayed at this motel for more than 15 years. Yes, it's on Lombard so there is traffic and bus noise. Nonetheless, the location is great. It's a real part of the City, unlike the Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square. Interesting shopping is found on Union Street, about 3 or 4 blocks away. There are many good restaurants and coffee houses nearby. A walk to the base of the Golden Gate bridge, through Crissy Field, is a must in the early morning or late afternoon.
Noisy. My brother and I stayed here while I was apartment hunting. We could hear traffic on Lombard St outside our window. The room was cold and drafty. The elevator seemed rickety. For $120/night, I should've gone to one of the motels nearby instead.
Make yourself at home in a favorite local area..
This hotel is located in the charming residential Cow Hollow district, near the Palace of Fine Arts. The countrified decor reflects the homey feel of the neighborhood. While a grand total of 112 rooms, including 17 suites, suggests a lack of personalized influences, this is a place your ma might have decorated. The lights are soft, the wallpaper is floral and the bed frames are provincial in style. Suites are available for short-term residence stays.
Home Away From Home. We stay at the Cow Hollow at least once a month and it is our home away from home! The rooms are always fresh & clean, and it is in a fantastic location ~ the heart of the Marina District! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value and location.
