Like the brand's distinct packaging, the stores are retro-refined. Curvy counters, vinyl barstools and contrasting pastel colors dominate the decor. Enthusiastic salespeople greet customers with cups of tea and offer free skincare and color consultations. Appointments are needed for full-body hair waxing, but walk-ins are taken for quick fixes such as eyebrow shaping or "lip plumping." Popular products include BeneTint (a rosy, liquid cheek stain), Kiss Me sheer lavender lip gloss and Kitten Shops New York sparkling power in a puff.

Even a "marina chick" couldn't get service. A few years ago I looked forward to having services at Benefit. You couldn't walk in without smiles and a lovely woman asking to show you some new products. I always came out with a fresh brow wax or bikini wax, but always at least one product if not 5. These days I'm lucky to not get a parking ticket while I wait for my appointment. They are never on time and don't seem to care if you buy anything or not. My last brow was was uneven but I didn't really notice until I got in the car. Even though I had to wait 20 minutes for my appt, no one tried to show me products or even seemed interested as I tried things on myself. Needless to say, I will be buying Benefit Cosmetics at Nordstrom moving forward and going to a salon for waxing

Great service. I have been going to this location on Chestnut to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted for 7 years now. I am by no means a regular, I go there off and on when I can. Everyone is always so nice and although they can't always take you right away (I usually always do drop-in) they always try to do there best to get you in asap. It has always been a pleasant experience, and they never fuss when I bring my kids in, one is age 2 years and the other is 5 months. And above all they do great brows!!!!!!

LOVE THIS STORE!. Okay, so I'm not a typical "marina girl" whatever that is, but I wanted to comment on this store seeing the previous reviews that were not so great. This is a very busy store on the weekends, and these ladies take their time in making sure who they're helping gets a full beauty make-over on all of their great products. What is so wrong with that? I usually go during the week when it's not as busy, and every time I've walked in, I've gotten full attention from everyone that works there. This is a fun place to be and if you're looking for a great bikini or brazilian wax at a great price, go here! Natalie and Parish are two awesome waxers who make brazilians less painful and actually pretty fun!

Customer service really lacking. I called to make an appointment and was placed on hold. Fine. But the salesperson proceeded to go on with her personal phone call on the other line. I could hear her on the other line. This went on for a good 2 minutes after which she never came back to me! I waited to see if anyone would come back on and waited for 5 minutes before I hung up.

Snobby Sales Clerks. My friends and I agree that the Benefit on Chestnut has incredibly rude and snobby sales clerks. I walked in one day and the clerks wouldn't give me the time of day, but would immediately fuss over the Marina chicks walking in after me. I actually came in not to browse, but to make a purchase, and even asked if I could see a product, but I was brushed off while they tended to the blondes that just entered the store.
