The Scene – Taking a somewhat different approach to slinging pies, this theme-based establishment is sure to leave a smile on diners' faces. A tiny rectangular eating area, painted a lively yellow, makes for a fun and relaxed scene and offers a good place to take in the neighborhood's beautiful people when they're dressed down and casual. – – The Food – With names like Ménage a Trois, Doggie Style and Ecstasy, these pies offer a uniquely Californian take on tradition. The crust, thin and crispy enough to hold its shape when picked up, is savory. A complex,…
Editor's Tips
- When to Go:
- A steady wave of barhoppers makes for long lines after hours.
- Know Before You Go:
- Slices are available and popular, but beware: Many of the specials are only available by the full pie.
- The Extras:
- Vegetarians take heart: Half of the 20 gourmet specials are meatless.
Somethin in the Pizza I tells ya

Because I am a certified fan. It's official. I love the pizza here, particularly, the doggie style and the girl from Impanema. Tasty food is a treasure to eat. You only have one mouth, and one set of taste buds. Why not be good to them?
- Pros: Tasty Pizza
Terrible

I can't speak to the Fillmore location, but pizza from the Clement store is truly awful (and overpriced to boot). I had it once 6 months ago, and didn't like it. Just tried it again, thinking maybe the first time was a fluke. Nope. They try to be hip by offerring unusual toppings, and by giving their pizza's provocative names, but this is Domino's quality pizza at triple the cost. Stay away.
- Pros: None
How does this place stay in business?

I haven't dined inside the restaurant, but once ordered a pizza for delivery, key word: ONCE. Overly long wait time, soggy cold pizza and limp veggies.I should have known better than to try the Clement location, but I gave it a chance and it was twice as bad.
- Pros: slightly better than frozen
If it grows or walks on this planet, you can have it on your pizza here

I tend to live by the "less is more" philosophy when it comes to pizza and usually order plain slices. But....the Pizza Orgasmica with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, and more more more is just delish. The Hula Hula, my fiance's favorite, is quite good too although I still think it's strange to put pineapple on a pizza. We went inside the first time because we couldn't resist the amazing smells drifting out onto the sidewalk. We've eaten in and had delivery and always had a great experience. There are some options on the menu that I'll never try (refried beans? clams? cheddar garlic sauce?), but I'll eat some of the more basic items any time!
Their Hula Hula is the best

They are responsible for at least 10 pounds around my middle, but I cannot say no to their hula hula pizza. They deliver within 45 minutes and are always nice on the phone. My favorite in the city.
