Great little neighborhood bistro!. When I go to cute little neighborhood spots, I am already biased before I walk in, since the whole idea of a neighborhood spot already makes me like the place. You'd have to do alot to make me unhappy here.

And in the case of Baker Street Bistro, they didn't disappoint.

Portions are a good size, prices are not unreasonable, ambiance is quaint and intimate, service is attentive, and the food is pretty good!

I ordered the pate platter and pretty much polished if off myself. (Let's not even think of the calorie count for that). I topped it off with the escargot, and though I felt the butter slowly raising my cholesterol, I was also slowly dying happily.

Douce France. Recently moved to San Francisco , French from the Alps , I had no expectations when I took my brother for dinner to this busy French Bistro We both were back in a Bouchon Lyonnais : cramped space, staff in the weeds yet smiling and "in touch" , food flying on the pass... 2 delicious Tournedos Rossini (Medium Rear as suggest the Chef) and a nice bottle of Chateau Neuf later ,we ended up debating about elections with nice people next table , (sitting so close , we had to join the debate !). Et voila, good food , good wine and good conversation, secret of a succesful dinner ! Oh, the Chef is French, go with his menu, substitutions are not welcome !

Food was Good. Service was bad !. Over all the food was good, not great. I had the Bourride Provencale bay scallops, prawns, fish of the day & mussels stew, risotto. The risotto was over cooked. The rest of the dish was good. We split two deserts among 3 of us, all were very good.

Now the bad. The Owner was off this particular night and our waitress, GIGI was awful. She was rude and brought the wrong dirnks and items more than once. It just might have been a bad day for her, but we will not be back. I'll go to Bistro Aix instead.

Paris for under $20. Whenver my wife and I need a break from the ordinary, and want to escape to a taste of Paris, then we go to this wonderful Bistro. The food is awesome, and so cheap! Typically cramped, with your neighbor almost taking part in your conversation they're so close :)

J'adore cette restaurant!!

A great dining VALUE, a rarity in this city. In a city which increasingly caters to diners with bottomless pockets, especially when it comes to French cuisine, it's refreshing to find a place like Baker Street Bistro. Small and out of the way, the restaurant has a family atmosphere, great wine list, and awesome food at phenomenal prices. Good French food is easy to find here if you're willing to pay over $100/person. You can have a full meal here, with wine, for half of that.

The menu changes, but when we were there, we had an escargot appetizer, duck breast, venison, and I believe a coq au vin. And a bottle of good French wine for $35. Everything was excellent, some of the best French I've ever had. The atmosphere was great as well - had a view of the open kitchen, where the cook took swigs of the cooking wine as he worked. Got the feeling I was at the local joint in some provencial French town, eating with the locals. Highly recommended.

A traditional bistro that serves classic French favorites in an intimate Cow Hollow setting.. In Short
The bistro occupies a double storefront, and has a wall separating two small dining rooms filled with closely packed tables draped in white tablecloths. The fare is traditional French bistro: Sonoma rabbit in a light Dijon sauce, escargots forestiere (snails over angel hair pasta with mushroom sauce), and steak with lemon butter and potatoes.

Incredible value. I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night and had no trouble getting in. It's definitely got a neighborhood feel, and the waiters are all extremely nice. I got the prix fixe 3 course meal for $14.50. Can't beat that anywhere! The roast chicken was amazing, and I never order chicken, so that's saying a lot. We brought our own bottle of wine, and the corckage was reasonable, at $15. I would come back here again for an excellent, low-key meal.

Great Brunch. Recently had a Sunday brunch at this restaurant. The eggs benedict came out over cooked but the server immediately took them back and gave us a couple of glasses of champagne on the house. That was a nice touch and took the sting out of the first run at the eggs benedict. The 2nd order of eggs benedict were excellent. My friends enjoyed their frittatas. We've been to Baker Street Bistro before and will return.

Warm goat cheese can't redeem bad service. We had a reservation and waited for a good table but the couple who came after us (way after) was offered a choice of seating before us! So instead of have a nice comfy seat by the window, we got stuffed in the corner by the bar, hitting other people with our bottoms when we try to leave or sit at the table. That really put a damper on the dinner, especially since I was on a date.

The other reviewer was correct about the warm goat cheese salad, though. It was yummy, but I don't think I am going to return there anytime soon.

Great little place!. I love this place for breakfast. Their egg dishes and french toast are AMAZING! And the prices are totally reasonable.
