On a recent Sunday the hostess seated 2 young ladies who were literally wearing extremely short bathrobes & underwear at a table in the front section of the restaurant to the consternation of the customers & wait staff. After finishing their meal, they lingered at the table for 3 hours while other customers were kept waiting even though they had reservations. Perry's has sunk to a new low allowing this to go on!
DRY!. I haven't eaten anything all day and my mom and I were on Union to pick something up and we saw Perrys across the street. The menu is blah and theres nothing to order. But we settled on splitting a club sandwich with a "side salad." I don't like mayo and mustard on my sandwiches and requested it without it. I've never had such a horrible tasteless CRAPPY sandwich in my life. I've always ordered sandwiches without mayo and mustard from everywhere else and it has been good and I've been satisfied. The sandwich was so dry and tasteless I had to swallow it down with my lemonade. The bacon on the sandwich was so hard I was checking to see if my teeth were still in tact. It was definitely not worth $11. The side salad was crap too it tasted awful. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE.
A San Francisco Classic. This place is fun and comfortable. Best brunch in the city! And a great place for lunch or dinner, or to watch a game and grab a bite at the bar. The burgers are awesome, and the menu has tons of sandwich and salad options, along with more traditional entrees.
Mediocre at best. Perry's is a cute place, but the brunch is below average. I am not too picky when it comes to breakfast food (you would think that it is hard to do it wrong) but my $11 denver omlette qualifes as the worst I have had in a long time. Lenny's definition of a omlet seems to be a pile of uncooked and cold tomatoes, ham, onions, pepers and cheese covered by some scrambled eggs. For $11 (or any other price for that matter) no thanks!
BEST EGGS BENEDICT EVER. This is one of those restaurants where you can't go wrong. Virtually everything on the menu is consistently very good. The homemade potato chips are a "must have". The eggs benedict are the best I've ever had (except for Brennan's in New Orleans maybe). The ham is nice and thick and the hollandaise is perfect. Be sure to ask for the chips instead of home fries. You can also request "half" of the eggs and salads (which are huge) and they knock off a couple of bucks. Never been disappointed in 20 years. They used to take reservations for the outside tables but haven't for years now. It would be nice if they did.
Street Scene. Great spot if you can get one of the coveted outside seats. They serve a nice breakfast, nothing really unusual. It was good enough that I will likely go again.
Fun Time. A bunch of us went recently for drinks and dinner. We had great time - loved the burgers, chicken sandwich on a REALLY soft, yummy bun, ahi tuna appetizer, and a chopped salad. The food was normal California cuisine, but it was tasty and fulfilling. The staff was nice - our waitress in particular. We'll be back.
cheers meets lobster madness. great atmosphere and great food. the lobster madness is the best deal in town, plus you get to keep the plastic bib. the most important point is to make a reservation and reserve enough lobsters for your party.
Delicios brunch, great atmosphere. My roommate is addicted to lobster night at Perry's and raves about it. Though I haven't had the lobster, I have been to Perry's for brunch, lunch and dinner, and have never been disappointed. Outside seating is great, as well as the sunny back room. The bloody marys are to die for, and the brunch is great! Also try their gigantic salads, packed with meats cheeses and ingredients. Perry's has become a favorite of mine both in the Marina and downtown!
