In Short – This playground provides a fun, interactive way to learn about the mysteries of science. Part of the Palace of Fine Arts, it's also a great chance to see some of San Francisco's historical architecture. Watch a cow's eye dissection, test your sense memory, examine fruit flies through a microscope, cavort in a shadow box and blow mega-bubbles. Or crawl, slide and stumble through the Tactile Dome, a pitch-black labyrinth that puts non-visual senses to the test.
Tactile Dome is super fun!

For a fun, out of ordinary date, I went to the Tactile Dome and had a great time. I've been to the Exploratorium many times and always enjoyed myself. So if you're into science and discovery and learning, this is a great place to spend an afternoon.
fun for everyone of all ages

the coolest place that blends math and science with fun. sometimes it's hard to wait for the little kids to get off the exhibit b/c you want to play with it too! added bonus of the palace of fine arts right outside of it.
