Editorial Review for Fuzio – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
This high-concept chain has modern decor, with hard lines and bright colors. Living up to the restaurant's tag line "Universal Pasta," noodles serve as the basis for most of the menu, and come with a variety of accoutrements: cilantro, shrimp and bean sprouts in spicy pad thai, fried calamari, portobello mushrooms or hickory-smoked bacon.

Due to fast service, interesting menu options, mod but still "nice" decor, and great location, Fuzio is a good choice for dinner in the Marina. The fusion menu allows for everyone to be happy (if one person is craving Italian but one wants Chinese food), and the meals are ample and tasty - I always order the spicy chicken penne, and it has been consistently great. It is very reasonably priced for the neighborhood, and is a place you could bring friends, a casual date, or the family to. Additionally, it is within walking distance of all the Marina bars and hotspots. Recommended!

Pros: food, prices, location

Not very good either. My penne pasta was so-so and the spices weren't doing much for me. My girlfriend had the small salad (which was okay but their vinegrette would've been so much better with spinach rather than lettuce). Her minestrone soup smelled good but had almost no taste, and was far more tomato-y than expected. It was weird to be eating "Italian" food next to people who were eating Asian-Fusion dishes with chopsticks. An interesting idea, but I'm not quite sure it's pulled off. To be fair, I'd probably have to come back a few times, but I'm not very excited to.

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: not very good
