The Scene – A typical afternoon at this Cow Hollow watering hole is eerily similar to an afternoon at SBC Park: Cell phones and khakis pretty much rule the day. Still, folks of all types fit right in--as long as they're passionate about anything that involves running, jumping and balls. Though sports bars aren't usually singles scenes, Bayside comes closest to reconciling the often profound gender imbalance at such places. If you're looking for other places in the area:
Bus Stop and Blue Light on Union St. are obvious choices. Kelley's Tavern on Fillmore and Lombard just added a bunch more TVs. They will have college and NFL packages and won't be as packed as those two. Monoghan's off Chestnut has sports packages too.

I have never had such a horrible experience at a SPORTS BAR in my life.

Seriously. There aren't many ways to make me write a bad review, and this is the first time I EVER have, but I had such a disappointing experience at Bayside, I just felt the need to warn others: I will NEVER go back. There are tons of awesome sports bars in the city and this one is BAD! Terrible crowd. Drinks took way too long. Food should be skipped all together. Dont know who Bayside thinks they are, but I had an awful time with the staff - there was a line at the door, and they wouldnt let people in! People were in line for like 30 minutes! It's a SPORTS BAR not a freaking Dance Club! Dont waste your time here. Manager wasn't even responsive or helpful in any way. I was very disappointed...Marina lets me down. Once again...
