Awesome fresh burgers!. Barneys has great burgers. big menu, and spectacular steak fries. Outdoor, patio seating is also a plus, if you can manage to snag one out back.

Really good burger. I love coming here to grab a burger. So many to choose from. The burgers are huge. One of my favorite is the guacamole swiss burger.. Really good. Also get a side of curly fries. Half order will feed 3 people.. Service is fast and friendly.

Terrible service but great burger. After waiting well over an hour, the waitress realized she has forgotten to submit our order. When it finally arrived, our food was good but not worth the wait.

Enormous beef, chicken and veggie burgers with inventive twists make this casual mini-chain a California favorite.. In Short
Burgers -- of both the all-beef and meatless variety -- are the name of the game at this highly trafficked neighborhood eatery. Plain interiors with walls proudly decked in local dining awards take a backseat to huge flame-broiled patties. Destination-themed sandwiches, like the Milano with roasted eggplant, zucchini and tomato pesto sauce and the Baja chicken with avocado, bacon and salsa, are served a la carte. Side orders include deep-fried veggies and steak-cut fries.

Bullshead is Better. Barney's is on par with most burger places in the city. They have milkshakes which is nice and curly fries if you like those. But Bullshead in West Portal is better. I've been going here for years. It's a hole-in-the-wall with no ambiance and no milkshakes but the meat is ground fresh daily and the fries are made fresh also. They have lots of options for your burgers. They serve steaks and have turkey burgers for the nonbeef folks. The chicken teriyaki sandwich is pretty good too.

One of the best burgers in SF.... This place has some of the best burgers and fries in San Francisco. Try to eat in the patio! Great thick cut steak fries, and even better curly fries. One small basket is enough for a complete meal. Try the Pesto burger... you will not be disappointed. Not your typical burger place either... very eccentric.

SF Marina's Top Food Value. Barney's Gourmet Burgers is the best food value in the Marina district if you bring a friend AND the coupon that is frequently printed on the back of the Marina Safeway register receipts. The coupon offers the second burger for only $3 dollars. The more expensive burger is the one paid with the full price.

YUM. From another reviewer, this place is a definate cure for your hangover, but note that food-coma takes place shortly after you finish. Lot's of different burgers to choose from like the Greek with feta cheese and cucumbers, the Blackened is nice and spicy, and the Caribbean comes with lots of julienned veggies. You can even create your own with additions such as extra bacon and cheese. The curly fries come straight from the bag, are flash fried and accompanied with a ranch sauce. There's also a selection of vegetarian, chicken, turkey burgers, salads, various items. Service can be good or bad but go for the food.

Good Hangover Food. Great Hamburger/Menu variety. The curly fries and onion rings are awesome with the garlic ranch dressing. The all burgers I have tried are great. Bad brewed iced tea. Patio is nice when the weather complies. Good value for the money.

The service has gone from bad to close to unbearable. I have been there 4-5 times because the burgers are great but the service continues to decline.

Overrated. Maybe this was just bad luck, but the service my companion and I received here was egregiously bad. Our waiter neglected to ask how we wanted our burgers done and then had them cooked to a bland and crunchy well-done. His interaction with us was minimal at best. In any case, I'd recommend Burger Joint before this place for food, service, and value.
