The worst Sashimi in my Life, gave me Diarrhea. I first ate Sashimi about 20 years ago. Over the years I have tried everything form 5 star restaurants to quick lunchtime take away's. This was very disappointing.

I went there Sat Oct 16th 2010, as I was visiting San Francisco from Melbourne. I relied on some reviews from Google, but that was a mistake. I don't know what all other reviewers are used to but I have to say my meal was terrible. Sashimi was NOT fresh, and I have never eaten Sashimi with gristle in it. Most half decent Sushi places trim this part out. The Noodle Udon was bland and I now have Diarrhea and are trying to will myself not to vomit. It can't have been anything else I ate as I skipped lunch. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!‎

I'm sure San Fran has better Sushi/Sashimi restaurants, but this one really let me down.

Great tasting Sushis and Udons.. This place been in business for awhile and it's good. I love how their Chicken Udon noodles taste because it's flavorful and tasty. The soup base is not salty as compare to other restaurant because the flavor is balance. I like the rolls, It's very unique and I get to watch how they roll the rolls on the bar side. The services is great, and they're very friendly at the place. I notice they have a lot of return customers that knows each name very well, which mean the place must be good. It's pretty much a place that every body knows your name!

Great!!. I've been here a few times and each trip forget how much I like their food. If you like spicy rolls, this is the place! Their spicy tuna and really spicy anything is killer hot, tastes sooooo good! Great sake, staff was super slow and annoying when we were there. But the food was worth it and we all had a great time. Willl definitely be back for more.

On the other side of the darkly tinted front windows, diners can still gaze out onto Lombard Street from inside this low-key neighborhood standby for fresh fish and traditional Japanese fare. Atop tables in the small dining room, appetizers like the battered and fried soft-shell crab and seaweed salad give way to dinner combinations, sashimi and nigiri selections and special rolls like the Flower, which features shrimp tempura, snow crab and avocado.

Great stuff!!!. We had a great time at Marina Sushi... The staff was Great and so were the rolls and Sake. Brought some friends from out of town and they LOVED it! The prices were not that bad for how good the rolls were... I am Def! going back!!!

Best sushi in town with a new look gottttttttta see it to believe it!!!!!!!!!!. I've been going to this place for 3 years and finally they've remodeled it. All I can say is wow!!! Me and my boy friend loves this play sonny and eric are still serving up the best rolls in the Marina. Anyways everthing looks a lot more inviting and yeah looks like that have more staff but yeah I dont really notice it I'm too busy getting loaded with eric and sonny. Hmmm maybe I should remove this review ha ha ha because I get some one on one attention with my chefs I dont want too many people crowding up my space ha ha ha just kidding great place to have sushi a must see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sushi for the "average american". The quality of the sushi was average, really nothing to write home about. The rolls are very sweet, so I presume all these raves about the sushi is for the average American who doesn't appreciate the quality of sashimi. The sauces on the rolls totally covered up the flavor of the fish. Everything with "crab" ended up being the fake pollack imitation stuff, from the salad to the rolls. Very disappointed, but if you're not a sushi connoiseur, then this place will be just fine. Also very hard to find parking.

User review by lexy1115. Being disappointed with the sushi options in North Beach where we live, my bf and I decided to try Marina Sushi Bar after reading the citysearch reviews. It was awesome. The salmon sashimi melts in your mouth. The seaweed salad was also excellent. The spicy tuna roll was very good but probably the spiciest I've had. We topped it off with the fried banana/green tea ice cream dessert, which was a wonderful way to end a good meal. The pricing was very reasonable, and the wait staff were very friendly. It's clearly a place that has some regulars and has a neighborhood feel - while we were there one of the sushi chefs was chatting with a couple of the customers who he obviously knew. I'm sure we'll be back.

Friendly staff. When we went last week for the first time we felt like on of the familt. Everyone there knew everyone else. The food is great and we are going back tonight. Our new favorite sushi

My Favorite Sushi Spot. The best sushi in SF. The fish is always fresh and the specialty rolls are to die for. Once I introduce people to Marina sushi they are hooked.

The ambiance is great for a romantic date or a lively group. They wait staff and sushi chefs Eric and Sunny are awesome. They always remember you.
