Editorial Review for Rabat – by Andrea McCloud

The Scene
Hardwood floors, high ceilings and stark design make this store a wee bit austere at first glance. But the staff is friendly and thoughtful, and the structured layout makes it easy to peruse the stunning collection of clothes, bags and shoes from hot designers, including Charles David, Alec, Nicole Miller, BCBG and French Connection.

The Goods
One word: chic. From the second you touch your fingers to the rack or pick up that open-toe slide, you know you're dealing with haute stuff. Michael Stars Original Tees, Margaret O'Leary sweaters, Betsey Johnson dresses, HOBO International bags, Camper shoes and boots, Via Mya strapy sandals--the selection of beautiful, unique items is irresistible. Oh, and girls bring your boys -- they can check out the funky selection of men's shoes while you're playing fashion show.

I think this store has some of the most unusual clothes you can find anywhere, prices are a bit steep, but it is SF what isn't pricey there. Staff was very friendly and obliging, one lady modeled things for me and let me take pictures as I was from out of town.If your out window shopping definetly stop at Rabat.

Pros: Very unique clothing

Cons: a little pricey for the quality

I LOVE this little store in the Marina. They have an amazing buyer who has been there for 25+ years. She buys a wide range of clothing from all over the world so there truly is a price point for everyone. The sales staff is mostly friendly ( I have encountered a bit of rudeness on occasion but nothing exteme or that would detour me from shopping there. Now lets talk about the shoes....WOW what a great selection of everthing at every price and becuase they have 4 stores if they don't have your size they will try and get it for you by the next day....service anyone! Over all I feel that the retail markup at this store is a little lower for the same lives of clothing than elsewhere. I enjoy the fact that they will remember me and ask how i enjoyed the last thing I purchased or about my life and it's always fun to see what's new. Give RABAT a chance and see for yourself.

Pros: America Made clothing and service

Cons: It's in the Marina
