The Scene
Owner Jorja Gaskins designed her Marina dress shop to resemble her own closet. Designer dresses and evening separates hang in wooden cases divided by floor-to-ceiling mirrors. There are two quaint dressing rooms and scattered antique chairs for friends to recline on. An involved manager and sales associates are very personable, and will remember what you bought on your last visit to the store.
The Goods
Classy dresses, evening bags and elegant shoes for special occasions are this boutique's stock in trade. Dresses range from little black numbers to floor-length gowns (with straps and without) to beautiful, multicolored bridesmaid's dresses. Jorja is also known for its large selection of contemporary wedding gowns, ranging from $250 to $1,200, located in the back of the store. Designers include Nicole Miller, Sue Wong and Carmen Marc Valvo.

wow this other review is completely wrong and obviously written by a complete idiot!! Jorja's is an amazing store with great merchandise!! I have shopped there MANY times and i have never had a problem with their services. Jorja is one of the nicest people i've ever met and she gives great genuine advice when she's in the store. If you order something, Jorja has to call that company and order it and a lot of the time it takes about a month and if the item is not recieved it is not the stores fault it is the companies fault. But this almost never happens. Also Jorja carries many styles and sizes so it is hardly necessary for anyone to order something. Jorja is extremely hard working and she really cares about the store and her customers, I know i will shop there for as long as i can i hope you do the same!!!

I love small businesses, really appreciate their character and do my best to support them. But I have never had as terrible a shopping experience as at Jorja. This place is hellacious. I special ordered a shirt (they were out of my size) and paid by credit card over the phone. A month later when the shirt had yet to show up I called to return it. I was denied. No one ever explained there was a no cash back policy, and since I had yet to receive the item I thought that the policy ought to be worked around. No dice. After waiting a couple more weeks I called again, implored them for a refund since I had no shirt to speak of, and asked to speak with Jorja, the owner. She never called me back. Then I called and said I would have to contact my credit card company since I still had no shirt and they had my $143 dollars. No response for two weeks. I finally got the poor sales girl who Jorja made speak with me even though she has no decision-making abilities on the phone, and she told me Jorja said to go ahead and involve my credit card company because she refuses to give me a refund. FOR A SHIRT I NEVER GOT!!!! So that is what I did. It has been close to two and a half months since I ordered this shirt, they still have my money, and I still have no shirt. I am waiting for my credit card to solve the problem and simply credit my account. Why I had to waste hours on this, causing frustration for myself and the poor sales girl who wishes she could have just given me a refund I do not know. I have never shopped anywhere where I could not get a refund for an item I never got. Absurd, right? Do not ever go there, unless of course you are 100% convinced you want to buy and never return one of the mediocre, relatively cheap-looking BEBE-esque items that clutter the small, silly store. Jorja has a serious customer service, honesty, and ethics problem. I just want my $143 back....
