Editorial Review for Mudpie – by Stephanie Barrio

In Short
The collection of exquisitely made girls' dresses imported from Europe makes an ideal indulgence as does Burberry's line of classically styled children's clothes. Outerwear like brightly colored raincoats balances the opulent inventory by introducing a more fun, affordable element. Paired with luxury bedding, rugs and quilts, the selection of high-end baby furniture, including cribs and bassinets, completes any nursery while the stuffed animals, books and costumes are sure to delight the little ones.

"The staff is so snobby!" Is all I heard about Mudpie from other moms but "snobby" is actually a generous description for what parents really experience at Mudpie. The owner actually yanked a toy out of my child's hands without asking me or my child. This was very disturbing and upsetting to both me and my daughter. It's clear that the owner has serious issues. The staff is dismissive and downright disrespectful. It's like the wicked witch of the west's children's store. Amazing. Boycott Mudpie.

Pros: No amount of pros can outweigh this con!

Cons: Owner and staff are not just unfriendly but downright disrespectful to children and parents

As a mom of two under two, I've gone to enough children-related stores in the area. After passing by several times admiring the window and products, I finally went in to look for infant clothing/bedding. I looked around and saw a couple of pieces of interest and ask some basic questions (e.g. price, size, material, etc.). The person at the counter, who turns out to be the owner, treated me so rudely and disrespectfully that I turned and left as quickly as my feet could take me. Frankly, I don't need to be treated like a 2 year old and have a low tolerance for snobbery! While the products may be cute - the service is atrocious!! There are too many other boutiques in the city that will serve you with a smile and be thankful for your support.

Pros: Cute Window Dressing

Cons: AWFUL SERVICE AT HIGH PRICES
