Editorial Review for Croll Sport – by Amanda Scotese

In Short
Like a giant closet, the clothes hang in wooden wardrobe-like divisions with curtains hung between them, creating dressing rooms. Choose from the samples of solid-colored silk dresses, or go in back for options with elegant beading or laces. Pinpoint the shoes to match. Theory's line provides a casual element. Croll Sport's own line of men's shirts includes tees made of a rubbery-soft, polynosic-polyester blend.

Usually when I am unhappy with a business I simply shop, eat, or whatever elsewhere. There are too many wonderful shops in San Francisco to waste time with crummy service. But here it is 10 at night and I am still fuming over the terrible treatment we received today at Jennifer Croll. I have one week with my mother in town to take care of most of the details of my formal wedding – including finding a dress for her. When we found the back room of this store on Union Street we were very pleased to see several dresses that might work for her. Unfortunately we had to run to another appointment for the wedding but came back an hour later. Of the two sales clerks in the shop neither could be bothered to come back and help us hang up their dresses, zip zippers, sell us something – anything. When she did pass by while my mother had on a four hundred dollar dress that we would have bought all she could say was “That dress has snags so I would give you a discount. It looks really bad in this light”. I had been wrestling with an overtired baby and trying to help my mom and was still considering buying the dress until we walked to the front of the EMPTY store where both clerks were having a conversation with each other at the front desk. I shared my disappointment with them and now I am sharing with you. What they have in stock is nice but not worth being snubbed. And most can be found elsewhere probably at a better price.

Cons: Terrible Customer Service
