Best Place to Catch a Show. I had the pleasure of seeing Rafael Sadiq live at the Mezzanine...

The show was off the hook the space has a cool vibe a little industrial wherehouse vibe but upscale at the same tim DJ Sake 1 was playing the drinks were strong(expensive but what's not in this city) this is my new favorite spot 4 live shows.

my new favourite spot. never been let down my the mezzanine. best service, nicest staff, most chic place. i would have no problem bringing friends and visitors to the city here. i know they would be impressed with the space and my choice of venue.

i got the pleasure to see clapy your hands say yeah there and couldn't have imagined that show anywhere else. the first band was great and now plays there quite a bit. good spot. good date spot. good chill spot.

Best Kept Secret. Though it's hidden in an alley of the SoMa district, this club will be a household name very soon. Not only is it chic and VERY East Coast place in a very West Coast city, it's also very intimate and comfortable. Great for live music. Great for dancing. Great bar!!!

Interesting. After hearing and reading about all the hype for this place, my friends and I decided to try it out for ourselves. We went on a Friday night around 11pm and arrived to a practically EMPTY club. The space was amazing but it was definitely a turn-off to have practically no one there. With the live DJs and particular crowd that was there that night, the club definitely had a Euro-feel. We hung out for a bit and decided to leave but came back a few hours later to only a slightly better showing. Case in point: The space is awesome so to enjoy it properly, make sure you go on a night that you KNOW something good is happening. I would go back to try it again...on a better night!

Its A Clubber's Club. First visit to Mezzanine the other night. I was impressed. The sound system there is a knockout. DJs were awesome. Service good. It has a warehouse feel, but more charm than that without looking like its trying to hard. Nice trick.

The only negative to Mezzanine is that it draws several "professional clubber" types - you know who I'm talking about. The type that acts like they are better than you and have a right to prime dance floor real estate because they have been to all the world's "best clubs and have seen the best DJs." They are so into the "subversive club scene" that they are the mainstream. I heard some dude say something like "Whoa, this club is so alive, I am flashing back to when DJ Vladimir dropped the beats at Le Loco in Paris in the July of '99. That changed my life." Barf.

slick and spacious. I've only gone to Mezzanine when I have gotten an email from a promotor about a special event so in answer to one of the reviewers, it might just be that you gotta know when to hit this club. I had a great time both times I went. the place is nice and clean (a big deal compared to some places here) and there's plenty of places to sit and chill out. Really like the decor. The bouncer who looks like Sting is real friendly too. Actually they were all really nice (more than I can say for bouncers at other clubs too)

try another place. i wanted to see what the hype was all about so i went to mezzanine last night. the crowd was dead. the dance floor was practically empty and they charged $20 cover charge. had a drink and left immediately. i iterally spent less than 10 minutes in there.

Great addition to SF club scene.. Great venue for both DJ's and live shows. Chemical Brothers visit to this venue was unbelievable. (by far the most memorable show I've been to in SF). Staff is extremely friendly...no "hipper-than thou" attitudes. Most nights I've gone, there seems to be a healthy straight/gay mix. One warning: consider bringing a pair of back-up ear plugs...their sound system definitely shows its full potential after midnight.

Great Time. Visiting fom L.A., planned on a weekend of clubin', found Mezzanine on Friday night and came back Saturday, didn't want to leave. Great friendly vibe, hoppin' danceable mix with great sound. Ultra lounge area was cool to hang out in when I wasn't on the dancefloor. This is absolutley the most happening club I've ever visited in S.F.. I'll be coming back for more, often.
