worst supermarket in san francisco. i have been shopping at this supermarket for several years, spending the inflated prices because it is across the street from my house. today i was so insulted by the self-righteous grocery clerk that i will never shop there again. a nice asian lady in front of me in line asked for a pack of light cigarettes. the checker says "you know light cigarettes are worse for you than regular cigarettes"!. the lady didn't know how to respond and says "oh well, what am i going to do". he says "you CAN QUIT"!. his job isn't to give health advice. his job is to give the nice lady her cigarettes. i reached the check out with some sutter home (cheap wine). the checker says "is this even consiedered wine? I hope you're only cooking with it!" i was so shocked that i didn't know how to respond. i only know that i will never shop there again. and i will never let my friends in the marina shop there again.
