There's no business like show business. "My kid has been at Adda Clevenger for several years. Recent outside scholastic evaluation revealed that my kid tests 1-2 grades below how Adda Clevenger decribes on the annual report card and 1-2 years below age matched public school kids in San Francisco.

My kid enjoys the physical activities (dance, gymnastics, kick ball, etc). My kids a come home with a fair number of injuries from playing with minimal supervision on a school playground that also doubles as a teacher parking lot. It is also impossible to keep the school uniforms clean with the kids crawling under the teacher's cars to retrieve a ball on the playground. To the school's credit they were successful in running off the canabis club in the next block.

Currently school begins at 8:30am and ends at 5pm and my kids has 7 classes with 6 different instructors. As with any kid, there are one or two teachers who are favorites. Interestingly, there is more than one teacher notorious for "yelling" at the kids routinely and worrisomely, a couple teachers for who my kid reports "feeling invisible".

In a school where every kid must be in every show with 3-4 shows per year; my kid has become acutely aware that some kids get to dance and get lines, while others remain perpetually in the chorus.

So goes life in show business."
