Though the name and signage suggests it's an Irish bar, Flanahan's is more of a tribute to Humphrey Bogart than a watering hole off the Emerald Isle. None of the four beers on tap are Irish, but a there is a replica Maltese Falcon statue and a framed picture of Bogie with his famous Casablanca quote: ''Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.'' You, too, may be wondering how you ended up in this friendly little dive at the edge of nowhere—most likely you live in the neighborhood or are waiting for a table at Toyose across the street—but once you settle in, there's plenty to entertain. Two dartboards hang in the back and checkerboard tables line one wall next to a bookshelf filled with scads of baseball reference books--you know, like all Irish bars have.
