The Scene – A dark-wood interior gives an intimate, homey feel to this modest tavern. Grad student-types relax at the bar, two booths or the lantern-lit, covered, smoking patio in the back. The irish Pub!!!

This is the Pub where you have to call the neighborhood bar. Everynight there is something special going on. I have been going to this spot for over 5 years, and always recommend it to friends.
It is a must to check out!

The Blackthorn has a great DJ and Specials

Check out the Blackthorn Tavern either Thursday or Saturday night. They feature great drink specials on Thursday. Thursday night is "Colledge Night w/ DJ Trip" . DJ Trip is the former resident DJ from the Holy Cow's Thursday night party. He blends a mix of 80's, 90's, Hip hop, R&B, House, Current Dance, and Rock. They also have killer drink specials, like a pre-determined $1 Beer and buy one well drink get one free. By far the best party in SF on a Thursday or Saturday night. The women are hot the bar staff is friendly and the music rocks.
