The Best Burrito. The sauteed veggie burrito with refried beans, jalapenos and hot sauce is the best (although very juicy) burrito you can enjoy! I used to live very near L'avenida and miss going there on a bi-weekly basis. The food is fresh and flavorful and the staff is friendly.

They make great horchata, too!

Wish I found this place sooner. I don't usually like Mexican food, but L'Avenida was GREAT!! I had the shrimp fajitas and they were awesome. Everything tasted fresh & was very flavorful. My boyfriend had the chicken quesadillas - no complaints. Service was a little slow, but it was horrible - they were just really busy. I'm glad I found this gem in the Sunset and we'll be back soon!

Neighborhood Staple!. Inner Sunset residents know all about this gem. The chicken is so sweet and tender because they cook it with onions. Definitely a step up from your everyday taqueria in the Mission. The staff are friendly and Antonio knows my order by heart!

so so food - worse service. The food is good on occasion but usually mediocre. Even in view of the fact that this is a walk-in sit-yourself eatery (where service isn't necessarily expected), the service was noticeably poor on my last visit.

Best Taqueria in Town!. Best burritos anywhere. Not as well known outside the inner Sunset, but its the best in town.

Little Mexico in the Sunset!. This taqueria can be delicious if you know what to order. Make sure you get whole wheat tortilla (so your burriotos don't burst). Antonio runs the show here and if he makes your food you're in luck! The chicken is always good and spicy. The guac is fresh and the slasa is delicious. I like this place over most Mission St. taquerias!
