In Short – The bright front dining room, with its dropped lighting and a large sunburst mirror on the wall, gives a view of Judah Street's foot traffic, while the smaller back area, decked out in dark wood accents, offers a more intimate experience. The menu features a variety of noodle and rice dishes for lunch and dinner, including a solid rendition of shaking beef and roasted Dungeness crab served with garlic noodles.
A great Valentine's Day date

My husband took me to Dragonfly on Valentine's Day this year. It was quite a treat! The wait staff is amazing; very quick on orders. The food was very tasty; we ordered the golden shrimp, the treasure rolls, the coconut chicken, and the garlic noodles with prawns. The portions were just right for the two of us. And to put us over the top, we received a complimentary dessert to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go again.
- Pros: Wait staff service, food, pricing, ambience
- Cons: Parking

Finally had a chance to try this restaurant only because KOO, my other favorite place in the neighborhood, had no tables. On a whim, we walked into Dragonfly & were seated promptly. The rooms are nicely decorated with Vietnamese hats or paintings and tables draped with white table cloths and covered with glass. The wait staff was very nice and kept filling our tea kettle and water glasses. Pre-meal you're served French bread with a dollop of pate in a tiny glass serving dish with lid. We had to have seconds of the pate & bread. The papaya salad was very tasty and yes, as stated by a previous reviewer, the beef was jerky-like but we didn't mind. The Look Luk beef dish was very good and served with a citrusy dipping sauce. The 5-spice chicken wasn't bad but I didn't like the sweet sauce (commonly served with Imperial rolls) for that came with it. Tried both the ginger steamed rice and coconut rice (both came wrapped in leaves and served in bamboo containers) and found the beef dish didn't blend well with the sweeter coconut rice, which would've probably tasted better with seafood dishes. The ginger rice was especially good with the beef dish as well as the chicken. Except for the rush job by the busboy to clear our table, one accidental slip and the dishes would've been on my lap, the meal was very good. We ended with a fried banana served with ice cream and drizzled with honey and chopped nuts on the side. The customers next to us had the crab with garlic noodles and it looked very good. Would definitely try this place again.
- Pros: Delicious ginger rice and Look Luk beef dish, nice atmosphere and wait staff
- Cons: parking can be difficult on weekends, hurried wait staff
Tasty food and excellent service

So glad we tried it. The food is good. We had the crab entre and the oxtail soup. Very nicely done.
Parking is generally hard in the area but they do have some spots available in the lot directly across the street if you get there early enough.
The waiter we had was nice and checked in on us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok.
Two thumbs up, I would definitely go back.
