37.753637 -122.490121Terrible service.. Food is almost as good as their other restaurant, though a tempura dish was undercooked. Service however was the worst. You have to ask for everything. We had party of 6, and each meal came out about 10 minutes apart! Between the first and last dinner was over a half an hour. Told the manager and he at least listened and said he would talk to their staff, but we will still never return.
Went for the last time. Not a very nice experience in general. Food is okay, but just that. They serve tea in those giant, cheap, ugly, coffee thermoses that hotels use for conferences. I guess they are too lazy to walk around and serve more. Sushi is so-so. Our sake was luke warm. So, we won't be going again anytime soon.
Horrible... Although Inexpensive, Noriega's Okazu Ya's service was horrid. When I entered, there were only a few patrons, and after being served tea and given our menus, we were left alone for well over 20 minutes. And after ordering, the wait time for food was horrendeous. The Sashimi and spicy tuna roll lunch combo took well over 45 minutes to get to our table.. well after i finished my unagi and scallop, which was lack luster to say the least, getting service was near impossible. Yet the one waiter was quite attentive when it came to the bill.
Average Japanese food, poor service. Having been to the Okazu Ya on Taraval before, we decided to go to the Noriega branch. The restaurant is fairly new and the decor is nice. We were seated immediately, but after that we were virtually ignored. We noticed larger parties and patrons ordering drinks were tended to while folks like us (party of 2, not ordering booze) waited and waited for a waiter to take our order. After food came, we continued to wait for some utensils and finally I had to get up and serve myself. We ordered meals and our included rice and dessert were forgotten and again it was painful to get waiter. We had no problems with the quality of food and the price was average. Lastly, when it came time to pay the bill, the waiter strangely was present and hurrying to get us out the door and turn over the table!
One of my regular spots. Whenever I'm in the Sunset area or at my bro's place and want Japanese food, this is the first place that comes to mind. I'm a casual diner type of guy in my early 20s. The food is a good price for me and I like what they have. Sushi is very good. In fact, its good at any of their 3 chain locations. You get complimentary ice cream after every meal. The decor is nice but gives the feeling that it's a bit too roomy or spacey inside. You kinda expect to feel a draft coming in any second. I suspect this is from the extremely high ceilings in this location. Also, usually have "just enough" waitors. Overall, solid place to get Japanese food. The owners are great people too.
Pretty average.... It's cheap Japanese food. Both in monetary value and quality. Some of the service is touch and go. Do not recommend the chicken teriyaki. The chicken tastes horrible. Like they just took it out of the freezer and nuked it in the microwave. Recommend: sushi rolls - any of them!
