Best Shade/Blinds place in SF Bay Area. I don't usually don't write reviews as I believe a business stands on its service and products which Maxwell's does. What prompted me to write was the nasty review by "Lew". Clearly he must have been having a bad day. I've been going there for many years and consistently have received nothing but the best as far as service, products and advice. Don't be misled by one slanderous review full of false accusations. Any bozo can rant and there is no way to fact check them and they know it. See for yourself. This place is the best. Support locally owned business in San Francisco!

This is such a great company!. I just love this company. I have used Maxwell Window Shades since my husband and I bought an apartment complex here in San Francisco 50 years ago.

Started with the father when he was a young man and now the son comes to see us - once I saw another gentleman who I believe was a relative also. They always recommend what is best for my situation (we have Maxwell Window Shades in our home as well) and I have never been disappointed. I am really bent out of shape to see the poor review at the top of this site - This company is a San Francisco Landmark and should not be slandered.

Oh - also BEAUTIFUL window shades!

watch out - bad service, bad vibes, and scam alert. I needed window blinds for my apartment. I walked in and was very rudely treated - owner was on phone (a social call) and made me wait 10 minutes. Then acted like I was bothering him. Then tried to sell me most expensive products, trashing competitors etc. Obviously didn't care about what I wanted.

And look at the "reviews" of his store!!!! Done around same dates, all by "reviewers" with only one review, all glowing 5-star reviews! obviously he's posting them all himself.... beware of this guy!!!

Well worth the price for custom shades and blinds. I have looked around for awhile before finding this shop on 44th and Judah. There is no comparison to the selection and service. I am hooked. I am ready to redecorate in another room and have some window covering replacements. They make great recommendations and actually saved me money from my original selections. I'll be back.

Custom, Style and Price...I am impressed. Wow what a selection. I am very particular about my style and wanted some custom shades for my home. They turned out great and what prices. Love it, and they definitely top their competitors in customer service and delivery.

Unparalleled Service and Excellent Quality Care. I have purchased new shades from this family owned shop many times. I cannot say enough about their quality, prices and fair business practices. I am always impressed with their courtesy, quick turn around and customized service I receive from them. Kudos to the owner Andrew Maxwell for his personable style and great prices too.

Great Customer Service. I go across town just to take my shades that need repair for the apt buildings we have. He gets them back nicely repaired quickly and always calls me as soon as they are ready. (I would stay from Hunter Douglass shades due to quality problems.
