Best Vet in Town. I have been coming here with my pets for over 15 years, so that should tell you something. Great staff, great service, and they always make time to see you when you are in need. Dr. Arrick is the Vet I have seen the most, but I have also seen Dr. Owens on numerous occasions and she has always been kind and extremely thorough.

Owner is Shady. The Yelp reviews on this place is spot on. Dr. Issac Maxmen is awesome and great with animals. Dr. Robert Arrick is super. Dr. Kishori Pigna Scott is a hottie (so swears my boss), I've never actually met her before. Huy and Gilbert are super gentle, and Margaret and Susan are dolls.

They deserve five stars. But here lies the problem. You don't always get Dr. Scott or Dr. Arrick and Dr Maxmen doesn't even work there anymore. And you know what they say, a chain is as strong as its weakest link. And that weakest link here is Courtenay Owens. Yes, you read correctly, CourteNAY.

First off, CourteNAY isn't even on their website (I wonder why?). Perhaps of her horrible reputation? She loves to demean and belittle your care of your pet. And she does it repeatedly in the same visit. At some point, I'm like uh, I heard you, agreed with you, the last five times you said this in the last two minutes. I then move on to uh, I'm not your son/daughter, don't lecture me like this. And finally I end up at, if you say one more word, I will slap you in the face and have my dog/cat defecate in your mouth.

I don't even bother arguing with her. I guess she sees that as fuel to her fire (perhaps she is entering the CHANGE?). I'm always super nice and docile too, like my pet, who she loves to man handle. Then when the poor little animal shows the least bit of resistance, she labels the pet vicious and sends in her technician cronies. Her solution for everything? Why, tranq the poor little sucker of course.

She won't see the poor thing unless its been neutered/spayed or doped to the gills. Yep, that's her solution. The pet better not even move as she shoves her thumb up its ass, or crams her hand down its throat. If a doctor did that to me, I'd sure put up some resistance!

What's next CourteNAY? Are you going to suggest that we start requiring people to take tranquilizers before they go get a colonoscopy or a pap smear? Maybe get spayed or neutered too?

Lastly, after I had switched vets, I found out that that vindictive bitch wrote in my pet's file that he/she is vicious and bites! F- you CourteNAY. My pet showed his/her teeth because you were rough and borderline abusive. I was there. Showing teeth does not equal bite.

Time to clean house Park Animal Hospital. Consider this the first friendly warning. I have plenty of friends who still frequent your establishment. I have asked that they ask specifically for CourteNAY. Her kennel side manner better have taken a turn for the better. Watching you CourteNAY.

Best Vet Inner Sunset. Like a prior reviewer, I took my beloved basset hound here after a bad experience with the vet around the corder on Irving St. The Headline explains succinctly why I continue to patronize Dr. Arrick.
