In Short – Shopping here is like taking a stroll through a museum of slightly warped history, with every nook and cranny filled by unique curios from various cultures and eras. The proprietor has amassed the world's largest collection of Limoges porcelain boxes from France, as well as vintage jewelry from the '20s and '30s. Fenton art glass, stained-glass lamps and oddities from Japan, Africa and more exotic locales round out the store's remarkable stock.

I LOVE Gaslight & Shadows Antiques! It keeps getting better every year. I have been shopping here for more than 30 years because I always find something unique and wonderful, plus the prices are unbeatable. I love jewelry and there is so much to choose from, especially the vintage Bakelite jewelry. This store is absolutely packed with amazing items and very well organized. You will never see a collection of Limoges porcelain boxes as large and extensive as the collection here. There are thousands to choose from. I always walk out of this store with a treasure and great experience. The owner Phyllis is so friendly and helpful; she makes you feel welcome and special. Yes, i LOVE Gaslight & Shadows Antiques!

Favorite Antique Store!

A wonderful store! I have been shopping here for many, many years. I live in the neighborhood. I feel comforted knowing that this store is still here, a San Francisco landmark. You have never seen a collection of Limoges boxes or vintage Bakelite jewelry as extensive as this. It makes me happy to shop here, wonderful friendly energy from the owner who is very helpful. She even keeps a bag of treats to give to my dog. The prices are very reasonable, better than most stores and the variety and selection is amazing. You must visit this store!

Best Antique Store Ever!

I love shopping at Gaslight & Shadows. Phyllis, the owner, is so knowleadgeable and enthusiastic that it makes it fun to shop there. I love her huge collection of jewelry and limove boxes. This is a must stop for Everyone!

BEST ANTIQUES IN SF

We love this place. My wife and I have been coming here for years and I cant remember a time that we did not walk out with some sort of treasure. If you like antiques, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Best Store, a SF landmark

We have been shopping at Gaslight & Shadows for over 30 years. Phyllis, the owner is always there to greet and help you. This store has the most unique, interesting items that you cannot find anywhere else at very low prices. The store is fun and friendly, as asset to the community, the neighborhood and San Francisco. It is a landmark, a tradition, and a SF institution. You never know what you might find here and you, you always feel like you got a great deal, and you can trust that the owner has your best interest as a priority. We LOVE Gaslight & Shadows Antiques and will always support it.
