best thai in town!. we have been going to samila thai for the past decade and have never

been disappointed with the quality of food, friendly service and simple, but

wholesome menu. for good dining at an affordable price, samila is great!

Best Thai lunch in the city?. Samila is no nonsense, and on first glance, there is little to distinguish it from other affordable Thai joints in the City. However, the quality of the food, the portions, and the price of the lunch specials make this charming little place a destination lunch spot. $4.95 for one dish and $5.95 for two dishes (including rice, soup, *and* fruit) is a deal not to be missed. It's vegetarian friendly (the tofu, eggplant, basil dish is wonderful), and it has several curries to choose from (green is the best here). Also good spring rolls.

So so Thai Food. There's nothing special about this Thai restaurant. The food is not particularly tasty. There are some interesting menu items and the menu also has pictures, so it may be a nice option for those who want to try thai dishes but want to know what they are getting. The wait staff is pleasant. However, if you're looking for good food there are many other options available in this city. Try Jitlada near Japantown or Narai on Clement.
