Place I miss the most!.
For 20 years, I lived just a few blocks away from Khan Toke. I think everyone who ever visited me was treated to dinner here. It's perfect for a business dinner, family dinner, company, friendship,
or even a romantic date. The atmosphere is amazing. Removing your shoes, the carved tables, even the silver rice container!
Can't live without Meing Com. In fact, I dream about it. Don't miss this amazing dish. I haven't met anyone who didn't love it. I had a friend visit from San Diego who wanted to fly up once a week to eat his way through the menu!
Now live in Pennsylvania. I miss Khan Toke so much! Winter, if you are still there......a big special hug from me! (Michele) Can't wait to visit SF again soon, and Khan Toke will be the first place I go!…
Best Thai food in the city. Best Thai food in the city if not the country. Not to mention the beautiful decor, it's like stepping into Thailand.
Great ambience, not impressed w/the food. I hadn't been to Khan Toke for a couple/few years - I loved it then so we decided to try it again. It missed the mark for me. I still enjoy the ambience but the food was lacking - they must have been having a bad night. Service was slow and it was so dark in the restaurant our whole party had a hard time seeing the menu (we sat at the back of the restaurant). We asked the table next to us (who had teenagers) and they said the same thing so it wasn't just our "30/40 year old" eyesite. I may give it another try but with so many excellent Thai restaurants to choose from..... I would love to hear some more recent reviews - anyone?…
Little Thailand in Richmond, San Francisco. I must say, asides from the gorgeous decor, the food is most delictable! The only thing that's missing? Pad see yew. Other than that, the BBQ chicken is most delicious. Very traditional styled eating, polite waitors, and great service!…
They still take your shoes away.
This was my first Thai restaurant when I came to America.
My friends there asked me what my favorite food was, at the
time I was completely enamoured with Thai. They were
giggling about this place and the old guy who checked your
shoes at the entrance. The old guy was not there but they
still take your shoes. Everything else was deja vu. A pleasant
trip back with no disappointments…
