A Great little place!!!. With each window looking like a postcard because of the fantastic view overlooking the Ocean and old Sutra Bath house ruins, this place has become my favorite little resturant to have breakfast or lunch with friends! Considering the location and dining view I think the prices are just right. Every visit, including those were there was a short wait due to its popularity and smaller size, I have always been treated wonderfully and served by one of their many pleasant employees. The service has always been reasonalbly fast and I have yet to find fault in any of the meals I have enjoyed there. Its also in a great location to enjoy a short walk either down amoung the ruins along the beach or across the street to the park resting high upon the overlooking cliffs above the ocean where another wonderful view awaits!

Outer Richmond eatery serves standard diner fare in an oceanfront setting.. In Short
Friendly servers welcome beach combers and tourists looking for a cheap bite at this mom-and-pop eatery nestled over the remains of the famous Sutro baths. The no-frills dining room with closely packed tables is easily forgiven due to the stunning panoramic views of the Pacific. The menu features American breakfast favorites, such as buttermilk pancakes and omelets, and lunch items like juicy burgers and hot, open-faced sandwiches stacked with roast beef and turkey.

Louis' Rocks. Yes the food is average diner but the service is great and the prices are average to good by San Francisco standards. (Everything's more expensive there.

You can't beat the view and it's so much cooler than the Cliff House.

You could do much better. Basic greasy spoon food but not basic prices! Bad value unless you would like to pay for the beautiful view and eat only average fare.

Not impressed. It was not worth going out of our way to try this place. If you're in the area and don't want to lose a good parking spot or something, it might be worth it, but I certainly was not impressed.

An alternative to Cliff House. About one block from the Cliff House, Louis' offers excellent American-style cooking from a simple but well-prepared menu of dishes. I recommend the Shrimp Louis and the Hamburger Steak, but every dish I have tried there is good. And the service is always friendly and efficient. Gets a bit crowded during lunch, especially during "tourist season."
