Plaques representing each county's coat-of-arms hang proudly behind the bar, while paintings of famous Irish writers and pro-independence paraphernalia round out the decor. Outer Richmond regulars and USF students relax downstairs at one of the cozy wooden tables, or head upstairs for a game of pool or darts. The whiskey selection goes above and beyond the usual, and includes some truly Irish labels such as Tullamore Dew and Kilbeggan. It's not every day one can catch an Irish hurling match on TV while tossing back a pint.
great live music, but...

Ireland's 32 is one of a fair number of Irish bars in the Geary/Clement corridor. As such, frankly it doesn't have much to set it apart other than the fact that they feature live local music and entertainment on most nights. If you want to support your local grassroots music scene-- everything from folk, eclectic, classic rock, funk, blues, singer-songwriters, etc., etc.,-- then this is the best place in San Francisco that I know of. And best of all, there's rarely a cover! But there is a cost, however. The 2-story interior is a bit cavernous and not all that inviting or cozy. Also, the drinks are often quite mediocre and often expensive for the amount poured (don't get yer martinis here). Stick with beer to be safe. I figure it's in lieu of the cover, so I'm okay with it for one or two....On the upside, the bartenders are friendly enough, and nice... and really Irish, though most of the bars in this area boast real Irish bartenders and owners. Try saying that about the "Irish bars" in San Jose.
- Pros: good live music, cordial service
- Cons: drinks are pricey, limited selection of drinks, mixed drinks are often small

They have the nicest bartenders I've met so far in this city! Service was quick and the prices cheaper! They also have live entertainment! This is where I'm going for St. Patty's Day!
