not recommended. Don't care how cheap they are. I hate this place, those women are mean and horrible.

Just walk to another nearby warmer tray dim sum place. There are many on that street. The one near 6th Avenue is pretty good.

My advice is to always choose places that will treat you better.

rude service. The women that work at this dim sum to-go shop have the worst customer service than ANY other shop on Clement street. They will ignore you, skip you to help customers that speak Chinese even though they came in after you. And then behave irritated when handling your order. Their angry faces and bad demeanor spoil any chance of enjoying the food.

The only thing positive are the cheap prices, most items are 3 for $1.50, and that many items taste good.

I don't understand why the owner doesn't fire them. Those women scare away visitors and any chance of getting repeat business from new customers.

Dim Sum Adventure. my sister and i went here for lunch. the line at this place was out the door, that is always a good sign. you can grab a menu and circle what you want. once we got to the front of the line, it kinda felts like the soup natzi experience to me a bit, but that was part of the adventure. .the items are so cheap we got a variety of stuff and for the two of us spent less then $12 bucks total. the best things we got were the potstickers and the crystal dumplings. i would recommend this place for a quick fun experience with dim sum

Best behind the counter action. This place is great. I've been coming here since I moved to SF a year and a half ago. Sure, the service is somewhat questionable, but that's why I love this place! Where else can you go on a Saturday morning to get delicious morsels of pork and shrimp while watching choreographed chaos? If you're shouted at or bumped by the dim sum cart full of wonders when it passes by you, savor the moment. When the lady behind the counter (who always has her arm in a brace wrapped with a plastic bag) aks for your order, you better be ready. You like ha gao or shu mai? One piece or one odah? It doesn't matter to me. You can always count on something delicious even if you must repeat your order 3 or 4 times. Tip: you can call ahead and they'll have your order all boxed up for you when you come pick it up.

Great on the go for cheap!. I happened to get off at 6th Ave and Geary one day and stumbled upon Good Luck Dim Sum a coupl of blocks away. I was surprised at how much I was able to get for so little. I received three pieces of steamed bbq pork buns and one oven-baked bun for only $2.20! Yes, the service is much to be desired. I think one of the reviewers said the Chinese ladies were rude and another said the service was a little sketch - I definitely agree, but what do you expect? You get in, place your order, and get it to go.

Editorial Review. Neighborhood locals and Clement Street shoppers line up for the cheap, diner-style dim sum at this Richmond District storefront; a small dining area in back fills up quickly on weekends.

Don't expect glamour. This neighborhood take-out dim sum storefront is always crowded, especially on weekends. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh. I love their chives dumplings, har gow (shrimp bonnets) and ti leaf wrapped steamed chicken/rice. You pick up a small order menu on the counter and circle how many of each item you want and hand it to the servers when it's your turn. Skip the egg/pork jook(congee), it's not that good. The egg rolls are vegetarian. The chicken buns are pretty good as well as the taro root and turnip cakes. They don't have all the varieties of dim sum but the traditional ones including potstickers and siu mai, BBQ pork (baked and steamed) are all there. The workers are not the friendliest but if you worked there and the line was endless and queued into the back wall near the kitchen, you'd be the same way too. It can take 30 mins to get to the front of the line and get out after you get your order because they're so popular. There are 2 tables to sit down to eat, but very cramped and way too crowded for a comfortable meal. And it's Zagat rated!

Great Dim Sum for a Great Price. I love Good Luck Dim Sum and all my relatives who live out of state always stop at Good Luck when they are in SF. Try their chive dumplings or their chicken with sausage and bok choy rice bowls. You really get your money's worth here.

Dim YUM. I love this place. Inexpensive, variety and great food. The service was a little sketchy, but the food was so good I chose to ignore it. I always stop in here when I'm in that neighborhood.
