Cozy B&B near Alamo Square Historic District.. In Short
This small family-owned hotel is around the corner from the famous post-card-perfect Victorians of Alamo Square also known as the Painted Ladies. The 18-room hotel is also just a short walk to popular Haight Street shopping. Each room is simple but tasteful with cream walls, white lace bedspreads, brass, glass, and white-painted furniture. Bay windows, high ceilings, and cozy down feather beds add to the home's European feel.

A Great Little Find. This is not a fancy place, so if you are looking for a lavishly-decorated B&B with full gourmet breakfast, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place that does not cost an arm and a leg, you should give this place a try. The owner is gracious and knowledgeable about SF. The breakfast is simple (croissants, OJ, preserves, fruit, coffee), but the coffee is very good. It is very close to Alamo Square and has easy access to downtown.
