Bad customer service and overpriced.. On the two occasions that I visited avenue cyclery I was very displeased with both there service and prices.

The first time I went I was looking for a new bike lock and a pump. After waiting in the store for about ten minutes while two of the staff members stood in back talking, I was asked if i needed any help. The guy helping me didn't seem to know very much about any of the products he was trying to sell me, so I opted for the cheapest items i could find. A couple days later I was in a different bicycle shop down the street and found both of the items I had purchased for substantially cheaper.

The second time (I know I shouldn't have gone back) I was left waiting again while the staff members chatted behind the counter, then finally I was asked if I needed any help. The guy working this time was extraordinarily dismissive and condescending in the way he interacted with me. I finally just decided to leave the store without buying anything.

NEVER going back.

Great service. Had a great experience here. Charlie helped me attach my lock and find a good helmet. He also adjusted my seat for me. He was very knowledgeable and gave me as much advice as I asked for. Helmet price was reasonable.
